ABOUT CARMEN
Carmen is a performer and educator located in southeastern Wisconsin. She has performed at professional theaters such as Milwaukee’s Skylight Music Theatre, Door County’s Third Avenue Playworks, and various Chicago area theaters such as Citadel Theatre and Oil Lamp Theater. Her favorite roles include Sonia in They’re Playing Our Song, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Allison/Woman 1 in First Date. She has sung with Jonathan Overby’s Highway to Heaven jazz band and the Kenosha based Twang Shui in addition to being named Festa Italiana’s Italian Idol 2022. Carmen spent ten years teaching choir and general music to kindergarten through high school students. During this time she also music directed shows such as The Sound of Music, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Godspell. At the collegiate level she has music directed A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Urinetown and Peter and the Starcatcher all at UW-Parkside. As a pianist, she has played in many pit orchestras and served as an accompanist for soloists. She currently maintains a private studio of voice and piano students at RG Performing Arts Studio in Kenosha. As a commercial actor, Carmen has appeared in commercials for Verizon, Meijer, Associated Bank, and others. She is proudly represented by Lori Lins, Limited.
